The UK Boogie Woogie Club nights are in the Bow Room at The Exchange, Sturminster Newton, on the first Monday of every month from September through to June. The Club exists to promote, develop and support the enjoyment of Boogie Woogie Music. There is a Bar and a dance floor for those who feel so inclined! 

The regular monthly club nights are an opportunity for enthusiasts to get together and enjoy some scintillating "live" sessions, lead by International pianist and teacher, Julian Phillips. All abilities are encouraged to join in and experience the thrill of playing in a performance situation with a band accompaniment. The Resident band comprises:  Chris Davidson on the Boogie Box Bass, Howard Meyrick on Saxaphone and Jonny Neilson on the drums. 

We would like to thank all the regular and visiting musicians who turn out and play for us on the club nights. We would especially like to acknowledge and congratulate the younger, up and coming players for their outstanding levels of achievement in this form of music including Tom Lewer(17), Emily Lees(14), Adam West(14), Polly Meyrick(14) and Rhiannon Phillips(13).

The club assists in the organisation of the annual UK Boogie Woogie Festival, which enjoys its 5th season this summer on 3th, 4th and 5th July 2009

Come along to the UK Boogie Woogie Club as a visitor (entrance £3.50) or join the club £25 annual membership.
